61°f/16.1°C, clear after heavy rains yesterday evening. Small tornado near Fairmont, some flooding in the coal fields region. Wild weather!
I got a lot of weeding done this morning. After a rain it's easy, and the mulch let's me get in the garden without getting muddy shoes. I picked a nice little haul yesterday, which made a good supper along with grilled chicken.
New potatoes, so delicious.
A pair of summer tanagers are hanging around our place.
Sunday's project: sanding this big boy.
Now to paint!

ReplyDeleteVegetables straight from the garden to the kitchen...that's the best way to eat them. I bought some little potatoes at the market thinking they were "new" but they were somewhat disappointing.

It must be so satisfying to grow your own!
ReplyDeleteI understand that tiger lilies are specifically something else, a real lily maybe, so I no longer call them that. I find that once you have them, you have them, and we have them by the back fence. :)
