In Cong, Ireland, where the movie "The Quiet Man" was filmed.
Also in Cong, leaving to a woodland meditation retreat structure.
In the back yard. Mushrooms are popping up all over the place. So many fairy rings in people's yards!
An insulator I sold this week on ebay. This one is quite rare, and brought $120.
Taken by a friend in Parkersburg.
These recently popped up in my Facebook memories.
First one is on my road.
Took this along my son's road.
This was my favorite that I took when i was a presenter at a Celtic festival in Ohio, about 8 years ago.
England, 2013. My grandfather's grave in Caldecote, Cambridgeshire.
Up on the Bodmin Moor in Cornwall, England, 2016.
With poet friends at the WV State Folk Festival, 2019.
Open mic last night was another full house. We had everything from music to poetry, comedy, songwriters, origami, and best of all, our featured presenter, Colleen Anderson. What a night.
Reading excerpts from her children's book,
with help from a friend.
And her "Chocolate Song". I love this one.

You have motivated me to check the insulators I have. My father was a lineman and collected insulators. I kept a couple just for memories. You are doing such a good thing by coordinating the open mike night. It sounds like a lot of fun.
Wow, the insulator is pretty! The ones outside my window on the pole that I'm eye level with are boring in comparison. Love the memory photos...your selfie is great!
Lovely pictures. I've always like pictures of fog...it's mysterious feeling to me. Loved our visit to Cong a good number of years ago. Hubby and I love the movie, The Quiet Man. We watch it at least once every year around St. Paddy's Day. We've had lots of fungi growing in our flower beds due to enormous amounts of rain of late I thought Cornwall was beautiful, was there with a friend several years back. Nice to see pictures of you. I really need to figure out how to take a decent selfie.
A great series of photos here (and video) with lots of interesting events. I'm going to have to watch The Quiet Man again. I love when the fog comes early in the morning. It brings such a stillness to the air. Thanks for sharing, always a pleasure to visit and browse through every photo.
i love a bit of fog not that we get a lot of it here in sunny Queensland :) Love that photo along your son's road too. cheers sherry https://sherryspickings.blogspot.com/
Foggy days are magical and not easy to capture in a photograph. I love the statue of the man sweeping the girl up in his arms, and the little Irish dancer is so sweet.

...water can make everything twice as nice.
ReplyDeletePopeyes is not ubiquitous here’s but there are some around. Sue stopped at one on the road and thought it was quite marvellous.

ReplyDeleteThe picture of the insulator makes me wonder how much "valuable" stuff is thrown away thinking it is worthless junk.
ReplyDeleteThese are widely diverse and simply wonderful. Cong looks like a wonderful sot to have visited.
