It was too beautiful to pass up--I had to try to take a few photos of the moon this evening on our way home from town. My camera either isn't made for night shots, or else I just don't know how to operate it (probably the latter) but I tried anyway.
Just outside town. It was frustrating, trying to find a place without electric lines marring the view, but we finally found a spot. Mmy husband is a patient man, pulling over obligingly and waiting while I tried to take pictures.
On Joe's Run, the moon appeared again just on the horizon and beaming down the road ahead of us.
As we reached the ridge, it was almost completely dark, but I tried one more time.
What a lovely, lovely night.
I have tried to take pictures of the full moon several times. but I can't figure it out. It looks like a little white dot in the pictures. In person its a huge, glowing orb, beaconing me to sit under her staring in meditation.
