A week can make a big difference.
Yesterday this farm at the end of Joe's Run showed some definite signs of green returning to the fields. It's early yet--we'll have plenty of frost and possibly more snow before winter leaves for the north.
These early, hopeful days are like a massage in the middle of a hard workout.
Just one week ago, this is what it looked outside my house. Lovely in it's own austere way. I enjoy the snow for its transforming quality, and the permission it gives to stop, rest, and just look.
