A writer himself with several published volumes of work, and a novel due out this Fall, Mr. Selby was in town to present a one-act play he'd written. I didn't realize that he is actually a native of our state, hailing from Morgantown.
And first tomatoes this year! Delicious with breakfast yesterday.
Wow, I'm so jealous that you got to rub elbows with Richard Channing! I remember we watched Falcon Crest every Friday night when I was growing up.
ReplyDeleteDavid Selby is also an outspoken opponent of MTR.
Congratulations on both counts! That's a fabulous photograph of the Writers. Oh Lord I need a car, and five minutes free time... LOL
ReplyDeleteMatthew, I have to admit I never watched either show! those were on during out TV-less, no-electricity days, I think. But I found him to be very gracious and interesting to speak with. And as you say, a Mountaintop Removal opponent and willing to speak out about it.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could see you soon, Susan! The days are so crammed right now I can't get away. Maybe we can sneak a visit somehow. Company this weekend, wedding next weekend, working on a Sunday on a special project at work, then off for storytelling for a week. THAT's when we might get a chance! If not before...
ReplyDeleteAs I said on your facebook post about this, I loved David Selby on Dark Shadows! Looks like he's got his arm around you.
ReplyDeleteUmm, actually, he did, Janet!
