Visiting Granny's means
Petting dogs early in the morning,
helping big strong Daddy feed the dogs,
going for a ride to Uncle Derek's and to the log cabin
to watch Daddy work on taking off the roof,
while you munch on a super-big sucker we bought at the store.
It means
being brave enough to explore the spooky old cabin together,
even going upstairs to see what might be hiding up there,
and being careful not to get any
oooey-gooey thing on your sucker,
and then going back to Granny's house for a shower and a good swing in the yard.
Sounds like alot of fun, Hope you are enjoying the day!
ReplyDeleteI want to visit Granny's!
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to visit grandma's house!
ReplyDeleteYall come anytime! There's always room on the porch or the swing :-)
ReplyDeleteI love that swing! I have a swing waiting in Missouri for me to hang. I'm looking for two trees just like yours . . . lol My grandchildren will love it just as much as yours do!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun Granny you are Granny Sue! I'm sure the grands are always wanting to go to your house! I know I would!
ReplyDeleteVisits to Granny's house sound exciting! I'm not sure I'd have been brave enough to go upstairs at the log cabin - too much chance of meeting large, hairy eight-legged things!
ReplyDeleteI think the only large hairy things up there were Larry and Aaron, Rowan! But you never know...
ReplyDeleteAaron's been wanting to see that picture of himself on the roof. I'll have to let him know you got it up.
ReplyDeleteCute kids by the way. I bet their parents are good looking. LOL! They look like they had a blast.
Aren't they adorable! They were so well-behaved and fun to be with. And the Dad isn't too bad either :) although I'm not sure about the well-behaved part...
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun day to me!
