We made through year one, and Jon's girls are moving on. Cassidy is performing tonight, 5 original songs as opener for a show in Vienna, Virginia. Jordan is writing songs for a company in Nashville. Allison's volleyball team is burning up the courts and at 12 years old she's already looking at colleges. Kate writes, plays music and plans for college. Jennifer is teaching, doing an amazing job of mothering and keeping all the ends tied together. They are a stunning group of women.
So now it's Year Two. Moving on, moving ahead and always looking back and remembering.
(They will kill me for posting this photo, but I love it because it was the pile-up-on-Dad game that he loved. And this was taken about 3 years ago, so the girls have changed incredibly since then. Still, it's one of my favorite photos. They had a name for this game, I can't remember what it was, but I sure remember how much he loved it.)
I changed some of the photos in my memory frame of Jon in the kitchen. And this photo was my new addition. I love it!
ReplyDeleteCassidy was terrific last night! Kate and Allison are so supportive of her! It is good to see them pull together. Jennifer is doing a great job holding them all together. It was also great to see Aaron and Derek last night. Sweet, sweet family
ReplyDeleteIndeed! I wish I could have been there to hear her. Thank you for going, Theresa, and Jaime thanks for lending Aaron :)
