Catching Up: Veteran's Day

It's been a busy week and I have not had much opportunity to write. So I will have to back up to a week ago, when Larry was in the Veteran's Day parade. Normally he does not want to participate, but this year he decided to be part of the day's planned events in our small town.

A young man who lives on our ridge proudly carried Larry's sign:

Larry enjoyed the company of the other veterans riding with him:

The flags flew proudly over us as we listened to the speakers:

And a helicopter flew rather low over our heads during the ceremonies:

  1. that's cool . . . that the young ones carry the Vets' signs. Here in the midwest, there is SOOOO much more honor and interest in the military VET. There's town and community and school programs. Write ups in the local newspapers. Thank you Lord! bout time!
