It's National Poetry Writing Month, and I am caught up (pant, pant!) with the daily challenges--a poem a day for the month of April.
It feels so good to be writing poems again, and digging out older work to clean it up, give it a fresh feel and sound.
I hope you will stop by and read some of what I've written so far on my poetry blog, Mountain Poet. I promise you that my poems are not difficult or so complex that they will trouble your eyes and mind!
Now, I need to get back to writing stories again. It's been over a year since I last put one on paper. I'm not referring to my storytelling stories, those are all in my head--but I used to write short stories every so often and I've just not taken the time. Maybe now the poetry will jumpstart my imagination.
If you're tempted to give NaPoWriMo a try this year, click the link above and visit the website. New prompts every day certainly help, and it's fun to visit other writers' sites to see what they're doing during this month-long challenge.
