This is one of the things I was working to get finished before leaving. Now it's in our booth in Ravenswood. I love the way milk paint gives a chippy finish when it's distressed. I had the 4 chairs, and we got the table this past weekend. Instant set, all they needed was paint and time.
I took in this macrame lamp too,
and this large quilt and quilt frame. The quilt isn't old but it's really beautiful.
I also brought in the quilted wall hanging on the left; the other quilt has been in the booth for a few months.
On the way to our booth we stopped at a yard sale and found some nice things.
This is pretty cool too--an aqua plastic memo/bill holder. This will go on ebay for someone's retro kitchen.
This lamp was given to me by a friend (where we bought the round table) I bought some other things from her and she gifted this to me. It's so beautiful.
You can switch the light from white to red, nice for a nightlight. It already has a place in my bedroom.
I found the little basket wallpocket at a yard sale, and decided it would look pretty on my dresser with little boxes. Odd little collection I have, one of those unintended ones.
So, now I have put away clutter, cleaned the house, and made some good food for Larry to eat while I'm away. I think I'm ready to go!

Hi, Susanne. I have a bill holder just like that one except its beige. It is where I put my bills until they are paid. Is that a Shawnee Queen Corn cookie jar I see in the background of the first pic? See you at the conference.
ReplyDeleteYou find the coolest things and I love the table and chairs all done up with the milk paint. I need to give the milk paint a try. Your friend gifted you some special items! The lamp and chest are especially nice. Enjoy your time at the conference!
ReplyDeleteJanet, it's just the sugar bowl, not a cookie jar. Wish!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nance! I love the lamp and the chest. I have several jewelry boxes made with that black lacquer and mother-of-pearl. I think they're just so unique, and remind me of the one my sister Judy had (and probably still has) when we were young. I coveted that thing!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun finds - love the lamp - and the table and chairs - and the bowls - and - and - and
