41 this morning, cloudy and showers in the forecast again. We'll be going in to town today to see if anyone has mulch for sale yet, and also to pick up a few fruit trees. Tis the season to be planting them!
Yesterday we worked on our Marietta booth. I had to forego the poetry meeting because we really needed to get to Marietta---hadn't been in a month! With Larry being sick and then spring happening so early, we've been kind of tied to home for a while.
We decided that we still needed to downsize our booth space a bit more. So yesterday we began the process of clearing out yet another space. It's a job--deciding what to keep, what to send off to my friend to sell on his yard sale site, what to move to our Ravenswood location, etc. We packed up three totes of smalls and a few of the larger items in the space. Two more trips should finish the job.
I am absolutely stuffing the space we have left. In addition to packing up three totes, I also added three totes of new items to the remaining space, so I guess it was a trade-off. My goal is to visit this location once a month, and change out at least three totes of merchandise each visit. That will keep the inventory fresh.
Here's a look at some of the changes we made.
These last photos are from the space we're vacating. I'll miss this odd corner that has a big sliding door we could not block (so one wall was not useful), big beams from which we hung things like light fixtures and porch swings, and a corner that allowed a lot of viewing. We will have to learn to manage now with a lot less space, but the upside is that it will be much less work.
