60 and light showers=happy gardens and happy gardener
This happened this afternoon:
Gravel! The first 10 tons of about 50 that will be coming in the next day or so.
We have needed it, that's for sure. This should pretty much take care of our road for the next 15-20 years, and by that time we will be too old to worry about it.
This is how we spent our stimulus money, and I think it's a good investment.
Bye-bye, winter mud!

Fantastic - gravel roads do need refilling and evening out over time as potholes naturally occur. I sense some raking in your future. -Jenn
ReplyDeleteI do believe you're right. We'll have some to do today, to even out a few places.
DeleteAn early birthday present????
ReplyDeleteCould be! I once got 10 tons of gravel for Christmas, put in the place where I park the van. I was so tired of mud, it was the perfect gift.
DeleteOnce you're done, it will look grand.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant. What a good opportunity to make an improvement. And the reason for you being able to buy it turns it into a monument to this very extraordinary year.
ReplyDeleteYou've been up our driveway so you know I know how precious that gravel is!!
ReplyDeleteI guess that'll be in our near future, too. I often wonder what happens to all that gravel that gets put onto our drive--it disappears and the mud returns. We keep the quarry in business, that's for sure.
