64, lovely morning. Rain predicted but it didn't happen, sadly. Never reached 80 today. What a relief.
Auction pickup today, over in Ohio. Drove through Corner and Veto and Tunnel--what evocative names! We stopped to check out another covered bridge too.
A pretty, covered footbridge led to the fairgrounds.
And then, whole browsing Facebook, I saw this:
Bedtime! Night, all.

Now who would want to trade a prosthetic leg for hay??? It boggles the mind. But it does remind me of this post from way back.
That sycamore tree is really cool. The owner must love his goats very much...LOL
ReplyDelete'Almost heaven': got it and like it
ReplyDeleteThe real question is who wouldn't trade hay for a wooden leg!?!
ReplyDeleteLove the covered bridge! I wish I understood the reason those were built (why roof a bridge??), but whatever it is, I find them totally compelling!
ReplyDeleteI love covered bridges, they're unique. What a funny post on fb.
ReplyDeleteFacebook marketplace gets wild! Trading a leg is a new one for me.
ReplyDeleteA funny coincidence: I wanted to start an eBay shop called "That Ain't Hay" and sell everything I own but don't need, in order to fund my constant purchasing of hay. Apparently one cannot use apostrophes in an eBay name, which kind of slowed me down, at least until I can think of a better name.
ReplyDeleteYour mention of "almost heaven" brought back some wonderful memories of John Denver. We have friends who live in Colorado who used to say everyone there hated him because he was luring too many people to their state with his songs.
