It's true. A World War I helmet, complete with bullet hole, is what my husband is using to feed the dog.Why?
I have no idea. We have other feedbowls, but this is the one I saw on the cellarhouse steps, filled with dog food.
I still wonder about that bullet hole.

ReplyDeleteI have my Grandfather's WW I helmet and it has a large dent in it from a piece of shaprel that hit him. I posted on my blog about it. Was an interesting story about how I came to find out about his war history.

Amazing that you have your grandfather's helmet. I wonder about the one that ended up at my house--who owned it? Did he survive? I will never know.
