Our ridgetop land is still for sale, and now it's an even better deal.
The survey just came in and there is more land in the parcel than we first believed: we thought it was around 26 acres, but the survey says it's actually 30.01 acres. At our asking price of $68,000, that just over $2,000 an acre--not bad for beautiful ridgetop meadow and woodland. Phone, gas, electric are all available, and the mail and school bus routes are on the state road that borders the long road frontage of the property.
And just think--you'd have me as a neighbor! Well, maybe that's not a good thing--but I'd be a long way away from you because of the way the land is situated.
This land is in Jackson County, West Virginia, about 50 miles from Charleston and the same distance from Parkersburg. The county is developing, but slowly, and it's still very rural and a relaxed place to live. Gardening is a treat in this good soil.

hmmm.... tempting! :) that's a great price.
ReplyDeleteWOW! If I had the money I'd buy it site unseen. Land here is over $20,000.00 an acre. Even with the recent housing fall out-which has been really really bad in my county the land has only dropped a thousand or so an acre. Yours looks beautiful!
