Can you tell I'm not working this week? At least, not at my usual job. I've got a week off and I am loving it. Lots of time to put stuff away, sort stuff, and plan ahead.
The whole week isn't play, of course. I have some storytelling tomorrow, and then on Thursday I'll be in Boone County telling stories at A Harvest Day event at a school. Afterwards I'll drive to Grant County, spend the night with my oldest son and his family, then tell stories at two schools the next day. I'll spend another night at my son's house, and then go to Capon Bridge to tell stories and do a craft activity at the library.
When I get home, we're planning to cook apple butter on Sunday. We'll see if that part of the plan works out. The past two days have been luxurious, with time to take care of little things that have been waiting for me. It makes me all the more anxious to be through with my job and spending all my time at home or telling stories. I can't imagine a better life.
I really enjoy your blog, Susanna. The fall pictures, with your comments, are especially wonderful! Thanks for sharing.
