So we were driving down Ken Parrish hill Saturday morning, thinking about having a good breakfast with friends in town. We were passing the meadows when...
a little spotted flash appeared in the road...

Weekend traffic on this road can catch you by surprise.
How Cute!
ReplyDeleteWe saw several babies with their mommas in our weekend travel.
Aaawww! Did he remember to look both ways? LOL
ReplyDeleteSweet baby. I love that kind of surprise.

What's funny is that I had tried to take a photo of the same fawn the previous day, but he moved just as I snapped and I got a brown blur. I did not really expect to get another opportunity, so this was really neat.
ReplyDeleteDeer seem so much harder to photograph than some of the other forest animals; I guess because they are so swift. Congratulations on this shot. Mimi
ReplyDeleteFunny, when I saw your post title, I was expecting to see baby goats. I love to watch the deer, but so many of them get hit on the roads around here.
ReplyDeleteThe baby goats were out and about on the road too, Janet--how did you guess? But this time I didn't take their pictures.
ReplyDeleteMimi, I've tried many times to take photos of deer with little success-usually it's too dark and by the time I get the caera adjusted they're gone. I have another photo I took earlier last week that I'll post soon that was pretty good, although still not perfect. I need a new camera, I think. A better one.
Lovely set of photos, the fawn is beautiful. This must be a very quiet road.
ReplyDeleteAnd what a sweet surprise that was!!
ReplyDeleteIt is. We know pretty much everyone that travels it. Which is why I like living out here!
