and made ready for fried potatoes for lunch, and the rest for drying,
the old coffee grinder is getting a cleanout and blending coffee scents with the ramps,
a chair seat is cleaned and drying in the sun before getting a new cover,
sun-dried linens are folded to be put away,
while a ragged quilt just in from the clothesline awaits a makeover,
and tiny violets add their sweetness to the perfume of redbuds, lilacs, cherry and apple blossoms.
In the kitchen, sassafras roots are scrubbed and ready to brew into tea,
It's just one of those smell-good, feel-good days.

Oh no ramps
ReplyDeleteThe smell never leaves ! Oh my goodness! Lol
Looking forward to the quilt project. I've got one that's worn into bits in many places and I don't know what to do with it. It lives in a box :(
ReplyDeleteQuinn, I am planning to cut out a good section and mount it in an old window frame. I've seen them done like this and it's so pretty. I hope it works because I absolutely love the colors in this quilt. But it's way, way gone in many areas.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea the quilt piece in an old window frame. Can't wait to see your finished project.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tour, love the heart wreath.
