After a busy week, the two of us are absolutely energy-less today.
We've been so busy working on furniture, getting things to our booths and getting me to various doctor appointments that today I guess we just crashed. I keep trying to do something, anything, but it has not been one of my more productive days.
And Larry, that mass of energy, actually laid on the couch and watched a movie in the middle of the afternoon! Never, ever happens. He managed to burn his hand the other day and it was looking nasty this morning, so he's been taking care of it with long soaks and much coddling from me. He's not normally a man who asks for coddling, so I know he's not feeling himself today.
It was cold, icy and raining earlier today, but by late afternoon we saw some sun. I think the gloomy weather allows us to feel free to kick back a little. So a late breakfast, reading, poking around online pretty well took up the morning.
This afternoon I managed to enter all of my business receipts, put together a simple powerpoint I hope to use for the Celtic Stories and Songs program I'll be presenting with my friend Judi Tarowsky, and figured out that the projector I had hoped to use for the powerpoint wasn't worth a diddly. So the day hasn't been a total waste.
We planned to go out this evening to hear some friends playing music, but neither of us felt like the hour-long drive to the city, so here we are, hunkered down and having a very quiet St. Patrick's day.
Ah well. Tomorrow we'll be up and at 'em again, I'm sure.

I hope that you're both soon feeling better. Winter always starts to get me down around this time of year. Take care.
ReplyDeleteHoping Larry heals up soon. Sometimes those darn enjuries take it out of you. Good for both of you for taking a day to layup a bit.
ReplyDeleteHubs and i are like you and Larry. We go and go and go. Then that one day hits us over the head and we zone. We laze about. We don't like it . . . But we need it and I know that you and Larry made progress today.
ReplyDeleteI had a similarly slow weekend - tried to do things, but I was very slow a everything, including thinking! Brain-fog, I believe it's called. Sometimes, we are just plain tired out and need a rest. Glad you and Larry enjoyed your quiet time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking on me at Comptonia - I was (slowly) composing a post just when your comment appeared :)
Tomorrow's just fine - sometimes we just need a bit of a break - and the two of you certainly deserve it. Hope his had heals quickly.
