61°f this morning (16°C) in sunny Florida. At home, a high of about 54 today, 25 tonight.
It has been a busy, busy trip, but we got done what needed to be done. And even got in a quick visit with granddaughter Ally, who lives in Jupiter, FL. Now we are heading home, where we will have to readjust to the return of cold weather.
A few photos shot on the run, as we have not yet really stopped for any fun. Random order here.
Obligatory beach shot. We stopped briefly to see the ocean as I hated to be in Florida and never see the water.
You know you're in Florida when...
And Boston clinics abound.
Drawbridge at Jupiter kinda held us up a minute as a big boat passed under.
And a platoon of geese also doing a flyover.
Sunrise in Miami
And as we were leaving at 6:30am.
Last night's sunset view from our son's balcony, one direction,
Miami is beautiful in many ways, but seems almost lawless in regards to how people drive. Extreme driving is common, and the sirens wail all night for wrecks and who knows what else. The city never sleeps, that is for sure. Still, it is an interesting place to visit, and will definitely keep you on your toes. Last time we both came down, we did more tourist-y things
. (You can see that post here.) This time, we had more important things to do. Maybe next trip will be more relaxed!

I am sure that parts of Florida must be lovely, but Miami does not appeal. Few cities do. Really cold here, ~35.
ReplyDeleteAgree, not a fan of cities.
DeleteSafe travels home, I hope your trip was a success!
